so, i started using deter and the day after (2 doses) she has runny stool.. wondering if you guys encountered this also, or if maybe she got into something else-she is pretty sneaky and eats EVERYTHING she finds on the floor. She is worse than a baby sometimes :) |
No loose stool from the Deter, here. We did have a bit of loose stool when we tried the Forbid (I may have used too much). You might stop the Deter until things return to normal and the then try it one more time and see what happens. I give Tucker the max dose 2 tablets per day (1 am and 1 pm). He loves it and thinks of it as his treat. Good luck and keep us posted on how your little one is doing. Julie and Tucker :aimeeyork |
wow you feed your dogs at 1am! -thats early. good idea, I think I'll leave her alone for a week, I might try to cut the pills into smaller pieces and see if that will work later. |
I am laughing my butt off here at your descriptions. My Geronimo does this, but it seems like less lately. Although I have been away for extended periods for the last week or so, I can't be sure he isn't eating a 'snack' when I am not there. I had no idea about the products that you suggested, I will look for them if he keeps it up. I am glad I am not alone, it's a shame to be grossed out by your baby!!!;) |

My vet said they eat their poop when they have puppy food, or fresh veggies, because it smells and tastes good to them. Allegedly once they are on adult food it ends? Truth or fiction? |
FICTION with a capitol "F" LOL.....if I don't run the minute she goes.....she's right there eating it......and I went through an entire box of deter (90 pills) and it didn't stop her at all |
fiction i started giving mine adult food b/c she kept stealing my other dog's food, so i just gave it to her *(she wasnt eating the puppy food as much). and yes, she still is eating her poo-and now she is sick and is still doing it, will that make her even sicker? (runny poo's). I have been giving her nutri cal and kaopectate and she is playing and drinking like normal, I guess if this keeps up, I'll schedule a vet visit :s |
