I'm picking up Butterfly this Thursday (Soooo excited!!!!!

) and am at a bit of a loss as to how to introduce the litter box. Since I won't know her pottying patterns yet I'm wondering if I should take her to the box every few hours and after meals, or keep her in a confined area with the box (not in a crate with the box, but maybe our bathroom with the crate door open and box on other side)?? Of course I don't want to keep her confined all day, but then again if we're in the living room and the box is on the other side of the apt. I want her to be able to know where it is and be able to make it in time, which that's probably something she'll have to work up to. Any pointers on how to jump start her potty training would be great!

I know for outside training, you just take them outside every half an hour (I did even more frequent than that with Thor in the begining). So I would imagine its the same with the box. Put her little self in the box every 15, 20, 30 (you'll figure out what she needs) and after every nap, and every meal, and drink of water. It's hard work but it pays off when they start going by themselves!! Good luck!

Lillie was already pee pad trained when I brought her home..I gated her in the kitchen with everything she needed..She went into the litter box on her own..she is doing much better than my adult yorkie but she still has accidents...

I honestly have no idea since I outside trained. But I'll bump this up for you!!!!! Can't wait to see pics of your new little one! I bet you can't wait to get her!
