found something that works for biting Jake is always trying to chew on our hands, but he sometimes bites hard and it hurts! So, I tried something I read in a yorkie book. Next time he bit me, I let out a yelp like puppies do if something hurts. Then, I firmly (without yelling) told him "no" and put him down and wouldn't look at him for about 30 seconds. Then, I picked him up and gave him a toy that he usually chews on. I tried this about 3 times and he got it and now he's not biting at all.:) It was really hard to ignore him for 30 seconds though lol |
:interesti romeo bites my mom when she trims his hair.:embarasse we will try this. thanx 4 sharing. |

I wonder if it will work when he's biting his little brother. |
Thats the way we did it also. I sure wish we had tried it when Ahia was a baby, it sure would have saved some toes! |
This sounds like a nice technique |
I do the same thing.. and I'm positive my neighbors think I'm wacky when they hear me yelping like a dog from outside the door! :p |
Great tip! Although my babies do not bite or chew on my hands..... but who knows. |
