| For Those with Puppies Who are Pee Pad Training... Sophie is doing excellent with pee pads/newspaper. The only major prob I am having is if she goes poop and we are not here she not only eats it, but she gets it tracked all over her pen, her shower curtain is stained, and she gets it all over her! She is 4 months old and I am not sure if she will grow out of it. I crate her for short periods of time, but I will go back to work soon, and can't leave her crated for 8 hours! Help? Should I just start outside training her? |

| I hit search about 30 minutes ago for poop eating problems! The search engine on this board is excellent! I learned a lot in a post in "all else" section. I saw several posts about eating poop. The first one, said you can buy some SEP (stop eating poop) for this problem. Many other post said meat tenderizer on their food will make the poop taste so bad, they won't want it anymore. Another post said the food your feeding them may not be of high quality, and the poop tastes like the food did to begin with. I was in the process of changing Venus food to Royal Canin. I looked in her bowl, and seems she'd been leaving her old food, and just eating the Royal canin. So went ahead and changed her over. I couldn't find Adolph's meat tenderizer at the grocery store. I went next door to Dollar General, and got the meat tenderizer there. I sprinkled some on her Royal Canin. I will let you know if what all I've done this morning works. Meantime, look in the "all else" section about this, and read the post there. Its quite informative!! I would copy and paste the link, but I flunked copy and paste class! |
