| do your doggies Eat the walls my 3 month old yorkie is teething like crazy, every time he bites my hand It hurts SO bad his teeth literally sink into my skin and NO wont help, but thats besides the point. He loves eating the corners of my walls and I hate it. I love my clean house and I dont want chewed away corners but as long as he's teething it looks like he wont stop. Do your dogs eat walls too? |

On corners like that you can spray some Bitter Apple chew deterent from the pet store. It doesnt last long about a day. WalMart carries a Bitter Orange chew deterent, that one works a little better.

| My baby is crazy! he loves the bitter apple spray! I spray it all the time. On walls, shoes, hands, feet. Anything he looks at as if it were dessert for his biting pleasure. But he just licks it and moves on to biting! SOMETIMES he may leave the sprayed area alone for 5 minutes and then come back. |

| When Jolene came to us, she came with two pups from an unplanned but yorkie-yorkie pregnancy. The groomers put the wrong female in the cage with the male. Oh well...Anyway, those two pups chewed EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING in the house. And so discretely. They'd look at you, you'd think they were chewing a bone and it would be the table legs. I have two Pier 1 tables with four very unique puppy teeth legs, two holes about 3-4 in diameter in flat wall (yep, had that one too) while they were CRATED and about 3 inches away from the wall, chewed window sill and baseboard/wall. Everything but the baseboard repaired nicely...the baseboard now had rounded corners. These were pups who were SUPERVISED and still managed to get into that much trouble!! It's OK though...makes me think of the few precious weeks they were here before they went to their forever homes.

Well now, want to talk about chewing.............I don't have a single door molding, table leg, chair, chair leg, book, end table, carpet edge, wall paper that hasn't been delicately sculpted by a yorkie. They've even tried to do their thing on a porcelain doll. I buy the big bags of chewys and throw them on the floor, that keeps them busy for about half a day. Then they are all buried in and under the sofa, chairs, under blankets, pillows, between papers, and so on and so forth. Once the chewys are hidden, what's there to do, return to their first love of everything else in the house. I finally gave up and have re-decorated to their tastes!!!!!!!!!!

| oh thank goodness, here i thought i was the only one, they chewed a hole in my wall, flat wall, still can not figure how they did that, we hung up wall paper in the kitchen my husband and i were so proud of ourselves it looked so nice, well on the bottom there was a tiny corner, not completely pasted down, so my husband said he was going to get some glue and paste it down after work, well lets say by the time he got home they has shredded it almost half way up the wall, i tried everything to get them to stop, it was like they were saying, well it can't be like this so we are fixing it, needless to say hubby was not impressed, my s**tzu has started to cew on my window frame, she sits on the back of the couch. My maltese almost chewed the legs off my wooden t.v. trays, my leather furniture ( love seat is starting to miss some of the stuffing out of the cushion, some days they are worse than my kids, but in the end i would not trade them in for the world!

| Abigail use to chew on the walls. She has finally stopped but I have to keep her in a crate because she chews on everything especially my good shoes. I don't know if she would still chew on everything because she stays in the crate when there is no one there usually and she does really well in there. Her crate is huge.

My suggestion, when they chew on the walls, clap really loud once and say NO!!!! No Wall Chew!!! and give them something that they CAN chew on like a Bully stick. JMO but it seems to work for me. Good luck

Mine have too. I surreentlyt have set a box in front of that place, so they are leaving it alone. Some one said to rub clear deoderant around it. I haven't tried that.
