From the begining we made it no big deal. He doesn't bark at all that I know of (I leave quickly :) ). |
Bully sticks may be a good idea but I know Tinka has eaten them and some of them get long strings on them and I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't been home to cut them off. So, just be careful! Like it was mentioned, maybe he stops barking right after you leave. Maybe he is just playing on your sympathies! They are smart enough to do that! omega :) |
This is really weird but Napoleon at 3months old used to bark a lot when I left him in his crate in the kitchen at night. Then I took his crate into my room to sleep next to me, and he stopped barking. At 5 months old, I decided to leave him in an x-pen to sleep by himself in dining room. Still no barking. He would whine a bit if he needs my attention, but rarely would he bark. Once in a great while when he gets excited, he gives a sharp bark, I would say NO! and he stops. For the most part, I wonder if he's forgotten how to bark LOL. I'm definitely liking this much better! |
