| Great advice for teaching neat tricks! Since I have shared Sully's cute little videos, many of you have asked for advice on teaching your pooch similar tricks. I taught Sully on my own, but now I am looking to resources to teach him even more, beyond my own dog-training knowledge. I found this website to be neat and helpful, and thought I'd share it with my YT friends! I haven't tried any of these yet, but we will DEFINITELY be working on "limp" and "take a bow" in the next few days! Don't forget, when working with your pups, LOTS of praise (& treats!) They live to please you, so make them work a little for it! (btw, thank you all so much for your compliments!)

| Thank you for the post. I have been looking for a good resource for teaching tricks. Reese has only gotten "sit" and "give me your paw so far". But she seems to learn quickly so it is promising. It is amazing how smart these little cuties are!!!

| Wow! Using their method I managed to get Lucy to speak on command in about half an hour! She has forgotten a bit now, it takes a couple of tries, but I never expected to have her to that stage so quickly! |

| new tricks Oh wow, that's great. Even Sully can't do that yet! :-) I did teach him to "take a bow" yesterday and today. (With his front half totally down and his back half all teh way up) - his little bum falls from time to time, but he's slowly getting it.

| Aw I bet he looks gorgeous doing it!! I couldn't watch Sully doing his tricks as my stupid computer doesn't have quick time but Im going in to Uni tomorrow so I'll see if I can get it on those computers! I must say that the instructions on that site are great and logical and easy to follow, I'm definately going to try and teach the Lucy some more!! |
