Ok, so for two days I have closed both bedroom doors, to help limit his freedom a bit. I know that most of you would probably agree that he gets way to much freedom throughout the apartment. I will say this. It does help keep a closer eye on him.

I am hoping to venture out today and get a bell, ribbon, etc. I am gonna try the bell at the sliding doors to the balcony. My BF thinks this is crazy, but if it were to work.... then so be it.

On a side note: about two months or so ago, Meeko was getting into the cat's litter box for a "snack". I put our ironing board across the doorway (so the cat could still get in there by jumping over). How long do ya'll think it will take for him to "forget" or out grow the urge? I would like to remove the ironing board eventually.

Thank-you so much for your kind works. I understand that Lulu is just a puppy and of course it's normal for her to have accidents in the house. She is very very smart, and so darn cute. We all love her to pieces. I am a stay at home mom so I am able to spend all day with Lulu working on the training. I always give her a treat when she goes potty outside, so she lookes forward to that. I am working really hard with her, and I know that she will get it eventually. Thanks again.

I am also a first-time Yorkier owner and Boy its rough. He can be so good and so smart most of the time. But he can also be sooo bad. I crate him only when we are not going to be around. He sleeps with us all night, getting up early with us and goes to the balcony (where his pad is) right away. When we come home, we take him out of his crate and straight to the balcony. He usually goes in a big way about 98% of the time. HOWEVER, while we are home with him, he goes all over the house with these tiny little quarter sized pee spots. And for some strange reason, he likes to poop in our bedroom (usually within the same area). I can't figure it out. I have read books, I have read posts here on YT and I have done it all. Except, I haven't yet tired the bell thing. I think I might give it a shot.

We have been working on other training too. He has SIT, but nothing else. I have been working with him on DROP IT, COME, QUIET, STAY and LAY DOWN. He hasn't picked up on those as quickly. I was thinking of enrolling him (and me) in a class. But my BF says that I am alrady doing the things they are teaching. Meeko is very well socialized so that isn't much reason to enroll him. What do ya'll think?

Oh Meeko is 6 months, I've had him for about 3 months.
