Biting and teething Bella is three months and I found yesterday she has been teething on my oak chairs in the kitchen. I knew she liked to hang out under the table but had not seen her biting them. I went out today and bought her three new toys including bones. She has a ton of bones already though. Also she is going after my kids hands and feet. Her teeth hurt too and the kids get upset. I know she is playing but we can't get her to understand no. I put her in the crate and she went to sleep. I think the kids get her excited. Any teething suggestions for me? Michele

use bitter apple on youre wood surfaces..... as a treat i always give toby ice cubes, and this is an especially great treat for teething it really soothed his poor gums.....play tug o war, this helps the teeth come out, and also if you dont want youre baby playing directly with the ice cube you could always get one of those teething rings for babies and put it in the freezer

I am having the same problem... My kids and I both are tired of being chewed on! Especially when I'm grooming her she chews my fingers. So this is what I did today. I put on latex gloves and sprayed bitter apple on my hands and the end of her comb and suprisingly she was "almost perfect" for her brushing today. Then I also had my son put on some latex gloves with the bitter apple and sit on the floor to play with her. It was so much better! She played fetch and tug of war and let him rub her belly but she kept her mouth off his hands. I think I will keep doing this until she just learns not to go after our hands. We also try to always have a toy in our hand to block our fingers! I wish I could figure out a way to keep her from biting my nose however.... My dog chews on the chair legs, wires, shoes, etc.,etc so I set up a pen within my kitchen that I place her in when I can't watch her with her crate and a puppy pad. Jodi
