Puppy issues please help!

We have a yorkie 4 years old and two days ago we got his daughter, she is 8 weeks old, amazing, but we're having problems.
First of all our older yorkie doesn't accept her and ignores her. Second, we got her a training pen as her personal space but she cries her heart out every time we close her inside and she cried all night long.
Any advice would be great!

Welcome to YT, Give your lil boy time to adjust to a wee lil hyper baby. My first pup was 3 y/o when I got my 2nd one. Because puppies like to jump and nip at tails & ears and their baby teeth are very sharp, my older girl took to high grounds, the sofa, as soon as the pup got big enough to jump on the sofa (it took her about 2 months to learn to jump up onto the sofa) there was no getting away from the baby, also by this time my older one was use to yappy jaws, and knew she was there to stay. When that pup was 3 y/o and the other was 6 y/o I got my 3rd baby, again the 2 older ones hit the high grounds, again the sofa, again, 2 months later the baby was able to get on the sofa. They all got along fine, slept together in one puppy bed even tho they each had their own bed, they would all snuggle together. You must remember your lil boy was the only one, now you have bought another into his home. Babies need a lot of attention, just make sure he gets more attention then he did when he was the only one. He will adjust. Good luck

Forgot about the penned in crying, an 8 week old baby, taken away from mom and litter mates, living now with strangers in new home, misses mom and litter mates, mine all cried at night. I kept them in a little box (there were no crates back then) next to me bed. She is missing snuggling with litter mates & mom. Try putting a fluffy blanket in her pen and some med. sized stuffed toys that she can snuggle with. It takes time for new baby to adjust.
