| What are you working on? Anybody working on anything with their dogs? I've been wanting to teach Jackson a handstand FOREVER. It's a trick that does take some time and patience, and gradually add steps. So this is our 3rd night working on the trick, getting him some rear end awareness (as I don't think he had any idea he even HAD back legs, LOL)... and I'm pleasantly surprised how quickly he picked it up and I've added 3 books (well, one of the things is a makeup case) already. Eventually I hope to be able to have him able to do this against a wall, a tree, etc, and then turn it into a walking handstand. Halfway thru the video a song starts because my little sister was singing her heart out and I assume you don't wanna hear that Handstand practice - YouTube Another I've been wanting to teach forever is cross paws. You can see here that I add a tiny piece of paper... for some reason it's been hard for him to lure out the target. I started teaching him how to target something bigger, then just started using a piece of paper, and I had to put it back because I could tell he was getting confused. cross paws - YouTube Oh little sister was singing in this one too LOL...

| Oh, also worked on rebound the other day. These are the VERY beginning steps. This was the first time I ever started working on this trick. Eventually I want it to look similar to this PS- excuse the mess. We're moving in March so I've been going through all my stuff and trying to throw away junk, organize etc.

| Great job! I love the "cross paws" video where Jackson tries to adjust the camera and looks directly at it a couple times. Too cute! I need to start working with my boys again and get out the clicker. We need to work one on one because they are impossible together. They run through their small repertoire of sit, down, shake hands, stay, kiss, touch nose -- but then they are stuck on sit. Master sitters.

| I love to watch your videos with Jackson. The 2 of you have something very special (like you don't know!) and it makes watching you both a total joy. Do you think you might make training a career?

| Honestly, sometimes I think I would, but there's a lot more studying I would need to do. I'm so good at working with my OWN dog, but we share such a great communication and bond so it comes 'easy' to the both of us and I really enjoy it as a hobby. I can get frustrated sometimes working with other dogs, who maybe aren't as motivated, or focused as Jackson is. And I'd be afraid turning it into 'work' would take away the fun. But maybe not? lol... maybe one day!

| Kaji did a handstand once. We're both not taking to the hard water at the house too well. I treated his skin and coat with coconut oil. To get him to stop eating/licking it off, I put a onesie on him with little tootsies. He didn't want to walk while wearing it, so he did a handstand to follow me around. It was so funny!!! I wish I had recorded it. Now I have no idea how to get him to repeat the behavior on command.

| Zoey will volley a little soft zany ball back and forth to me, if she is standing at top of stairs and I gently throw it underhand. I catch it and she jumps and taps it back. My stairs only go 5 steps up. She loves it, and really gets into it. Aren't they great fun?! |

Here is the latest progression. We just moved on from the pile of books and now have him going up against a large cardboard box, I put a blanket over it to prevent his feet from slipping! Excuse his messy 'do.
