| akc events and trials anyone participate in akc's events like Canine Good Citizen? Obedience? Agility? how are they? does the dog need to be registered with akc to be eligible? does it matter if the dog is fixed? does it cost money to participate? thanks in advance. |

| All dogs, purebred and mixed, can participate in the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program as long as they are old enough to have received necessary immunizations (such as rabies vaccines). As far as I know, it doesn't matter whether the dog have been altered. AKC Agility, on the other hand, is only available to registerable breed and I am not sure whether it must be with AKC. There are training classes available for these events also. That's about all I know. You should be about to find out more information at AKC's website (www.akc.org). |
