Pineapples contain "bromelain" and bromelain is the same thing used in meat tenderizers, it breaks down protein, making it easier for the protein to digest the first time. If there is no protein in the poop, dogs aren't tempted to eat it. There are other reasons for dogs eating poop, and this will only work if there was undigested protein still in the poop. I would use the pineapple for a couple of weeks, breaking the habit is important. After that I would try without pineapple, and if it starts eating poop again, I would consider changing foods to an easier to digest protein. These rules apply more to an adult dog than a puppy, sometimes puppies eat poop, just because it's there!
Thanks! You're so helpful. I feed her wellness core puppy.

Sounds like a really good food, I doubt if I would change, since your dog is still a puppy, she will probably outgrow it even if you do nothing, but I would use the pineapple on and off. Lol, it's makes the puppy kisses so much better!
