| My yorkie spills her water dish Can anyone help me? My previously perfect 13 month old Yorkie is now going through some sort of phase. The biggest issue right now is that she 'plays' in her water dish. Puts her front paws in it, pushes it around and therefore the water is all over the floor. I pick up the dish after yelling at her A LOT, but, when I put it back down and she notices it or needs a drink, she starts in again! Has anybody had this kind of thing happen? Any suggestions on how to make her stop? HELP!! Thanks, Pam |

| My girls do this outside when it's hot, but not indoors. Maybe try different bowl (glass vs stainless vs porcelain, etc.) or get a water bottle.

| Lolll how cute! We use water bottle converters, but these need to be attached to a gate, ex-pen or crate: toplinepet.com

| Is there any kind of design inside the bowl? Max used to have a white ceramic water bowl with a blue paw print at the bottom. He used to try to get the paw print out. Since we switched bowls he doesn't play with the water anymore.

We changed to a plain ceramic bowl, and that sorted out the problem! Sally + Harry x | |

| Either we have smart or not so smart dogs Max started doing a new thing this week. He has a slow-eating plastic food dish now so he doesn't gobble his food so quickly. He learned to pick it up and dump it all over the floor so he can gobble it up!

| i had a water dish for them in my room and cedric has bathed himself and the floor in it serveral times. he thinks hes being very cute cleaning himself and the carpet. i have since taken that water station out and he now has to use the one in the living room for a late night drink ...which is up a lil higher and so no more bathing in the water station. lol its aggrevating but i can help laugh when i think of him all wet and then looking at me with those im sorry mommy i was having a good time eyes. lol

| And I tried putting Harry's dinner on a plate instead of in his bowl so he wouldn't get so messy....after a few goes he pushed his paw onto the side of the plate - and it all shot up into the air! I've gone back to the bowl now...we must never let them get together, they might trade tricks!! Sally x |
