It's a quick read :)

It actually helped A LOT. It helped to regulate everything (what goes in must come out). He has an accident maybe once a week (except for poopfest that happened in my living room this morning). Can't complain though :) Much better than it was

Since he uses his paw in both ways- You may want to try Poochie Bells on your door so Chase can clearly tell you he wants to go outside. I trained Ziva using a similar homemade bell sytstem & she quickly learned to paw at the bell to tell me she needed to go outside. I also stopped using pads inside & used the schedule method in the potty training book already mentioned. I also do not feed Ziva past 7pm & take her out before bedtime & do not use night pads. She has had no accidents during the night. Good luck!!

i have something similar to yours.
a rascal dog litterbox , it uses a grate system.
from the time oscar was 12 wks to 6 months he refuse to go on potty pads . he much preferred the rugs.
the i found this litterbox.
i put it in one corner of my living room and uses a extra long room divider to contain him and within a matter of a couple weeks he was using the box 100% now he has free roam of the house.
