| Whining while in vehicle roxy is a rescue dog. when we first got her she was good in the car/truck. We are campers and look forward to having a dog to love and take camping. This winter we take her and boy when you say lets go she is rearing to go... runs to the vehicle and gets in. We take her bed, blanket, toys, treats. We don't get a mile down the road and she starts whining almost talking to her.. We stop she gets out and takes a wee and sometimes a poop. gets back in the car and starts again. Gets on your nerves. Sometimes we turn around and take her home. But, when spring gets here we camp and she goes with us.. We cannot stop every mile and we don't want to listen to the whining. What can we do? Help.... |

| Sounds like Roxy is either anxious or simply excited. Max whines in the car when he is excited to go to the park. You can try tiring her out a bit with a walk or a run in the yard before getting in the car. I have heard good things about pheromone products like this one: ADAPTIL - DAP Collar (Dog Appeasing Pheromone) I've read that it isn't an instant cure and needs to be replaced about every 3 weeks, but it can help.
