| aggressive only to certain dogs Our Molly is aggressive to dogs, (barks at them and pulls to get to them on our walks) but only to certain dogs. She is never aggressive to people. She has never been aggressive to people. I've tried to figure out what the common denominator is. The dogs that she is aggressive to have nothing in common. They can be large, small, different colors, male and female and different breeds. My main problem is i've tried several things to try to stop this bad habit. I've given her treats during these incidents to try to distract her. She will not even pay attention to the treats. Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jeff |

| She's trying to show her position as alpha dog. You need to train her to understand that you are alpha dog. She needs to walk beside you or behind you, never in front of you-this gives her the idea that she's in charge and she will constantly challenge any other dog she comes in contact with. If she is following her "pack leader (you)" and you don't challenge the other dogs, she won't either. Dog Breed Info Center®, DBI Lots of information regarding how to obtain alpha status. Some I agree with wholeheartedly, some seems a little over the top, but most makes perfect sense.
