She hasn't had an accident since the first day. The first couple of days i had to go outside with her and stand in one place with her until she went. She just stood there a lot not knowing what to do, but when she finally went I praised her and gave her a treat. Last sunday we woke up to snow and I stood outside for 35 minutes with her while it was snowing until she finally went. Its all about who can outlast who. If you know he has to go then stay out there until he does. Keep him on a leash and stay in one area where you want him to potty. Tell him to "potty" or whatever phrase you want to use and then just stand there. show him no attention until he does his stuff, then praise, treat, and go inside. |
