Subject: Potty training and seperation Anxiety
I needed advice regarding potty training Koko. She is 16 weeks old. I have her in a pen with her bed. She is very comfortable with her bed, never pees or poops on it. I have her pee pad just about a feet away from her bed inside the pen. She knows that she has to get up from her bed and go pee and poop on her pad but If she poops and we do not see her, she walks all over it and makes a mess. If I give more space to move about she pees and poops whereever she is and does not make an attempt to go where the pee pad is.so I decided to crate train her.
My main problem here is she pees and poops inside her crate

, even if she has peed before I put her into the crate, she does not hold her pee or poop even for 2 hrs in her crate. Then I got her a crate with a divider so that she just has the place to turn around. I put her favorite toys in it and a Kong treat but she pooped and peed in her crate making a mess of herself and the crate and all the stuff inside. I had to spend a lot of time washing her cloth, toys and the crate. This happened about 3/4 times already. I heard Dogs do not mess the place where they stay but she does right the opposite. I do not know how to potty train her. I continuously watch her when I am around and if she squats a little bit to poop or pee, I yell a big NO and put her on her pee pad. and if she does go on the pee pad then I praise her, clap my hands and give her a treat. The success rate being 50/50 when I am around.
Also wanted to add that Koko sleeps in the same crate thru the night for 71/2 hrs everynight without pooping or peeing. Goes to sleep around 11:00 gets up around 6:00 pees and poops and during weekends goes back to sleep again at 6:15 and gets ups around nine along with us. no poop or pee thru' out the night

but she can see me. The moment I am awake she starts wining
I think the main problem is that her previous owner had used a crate with a tray beneath where she can poop and pee and the tray can be cleaned later

and hence she does not relate to not going inside a crate thus messing herself and place surrounding her. It seems impossible for me to untrain her now.
Another thing is seperation anxiety. She gets very very restless and continuously barks if I go out leaving her in the crate. I do not leave her more than 2 1/2 hrs on an average but sometimes upto 4 hrs. but never more than that. When I come back she is all anxious and barking, her tongue dried up, dirty with poop and pee and than I spend next 30 min cleaning her up and her crate and the stuff around her. I do not leave food and water for her because she drops it all. Is there any medication that can be given for anxiety. I saw homoepathic medication over the counter at petsmart...Please advice and
help
Do you think she will ever be potty training and learn to settle down in her crate. When I am at home then she is fine inside her pen, settles down but have to watch she poops
