				   |      get his fav toy or chew and have someone hold that at his face to get his attention why you (in small doses) brush a small section. Use a softer brush at this stage and avoid pulling too much.  If you allow him to be the boss at this stage you wont ever get it back.     |

				   |      Some very vigorous play or a nice long walk before you brush.  Let him get relaxed on your lap then try brushing slowly.  Even if you only do it for a few minutes, and wok up to longer and loger periods of time.   Having someone to help distract him might also work. But I would try wearing him out first.  |
