| Keeping Harlow in the kitchen? Is it mean to baby gate off that kitchen abd keep Harlow mainly in there? Just until she's pottie trained then she can come on the carpet? I just don't wanna be cruel or anything! She has toys and a bed in there.

| I don't think it's mean to keep her in the kitchen til she's trained. She has her toys and bed with her. When I go out, I keep my dog in the kitchen with his bed, toys and water and pee pad. My little man is getting older and I know he will be safe and sound in the kitchen til I get back. |

| Nope, that is not mean at all. As long as she has what she needs in there, (bed, food, water, toys, pee pads) she will be fine.

| Just be aware that yorkies are part beavers and may start chewing on the cabinets!

| Many start out that way -- just be sure to go in there with her a LOT and give her lots of loving. They are people-loing dogs and need their play time with us. Nothing sadder than a lonely puppy.

| Not mean at all! While Rhia would usually get to be out when I was home, whenever I wasn't home I'd keep her in my tiled bathroom. She had a bed, blankets, food and water, toys, a weewee mat, and other stuff. BUT, like someone else said, make sure she doesn't chew the cabinets or anything! Rhia chewed the corners off my standalone jewelry box. -_- Silly puppy.

| Harley lived in our hallways until he was housebroke. that way he could see us all the time no matter where we were, and we took him out only when we could fully supervise him (an ofcourse for walks). it was 3x10.

| Deuce was confined to the kitchen/ dining room when we were gone for about the first year. But he got out to get the mail then went back into the kitchen. (thought we didn't notice) Thank goodness he would potty on the pad. Now at a year we give him the run of the house with the doors to the bedrooms closed. All is going well. We're so proud of our little birthday boy.

| Not a problem. It's recommended that you keep a puppy in a confined space at first. It's important to teach them boundries and limitations, and the experts say they like it. |
