| Yes it is normal. It could be play, it could be a stress reliever, but it's definitely not something to worry about.

| LOl I remeber the days of that, beleive it or not even getting them fixed does not stop that right away, But over time it will stop. I have had both females and males do it. It normal really, but kinda make you wonder uh? The female Misty stoped when I got her fixed, but my male niki did not, It took awhile but as he got older he stop too. I did not mean to laugh but you post brings back memorys. Good luck on your new baby and welcome to Ty

| Yes this is good and normal... Harley used to do that, he'd hump any toy that was big enough to mount... so we took them all away, I know it doesn't always work for everyone but he hasn't humped anything since he was fixed... we were lucky. Although a lot of people told me because he was small to wait until his was older to get him fixed. I talked to my vet and he assured me it was safe (he specializes in small dogs) so I had him fixed at exactly 6 months. humping halted. |

| Show forum just a little tip. You might get more help posting in the "training' forum.Training - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community This forum is for those that show in Agility and Obedience per the sticky at the top of the page.. I hope I don't come across as rude. It is not my intention. i see so many threads here with few answers and I know people will get more help in the proper forum. Mostly, only people that are involved in showing even read this forum. Good luck with your baby. A lot of them do hump toyss and other things. generally, just mesans they are bored. LOL |

| My Shorkie (female 9 months old) and my Yorkie (male 4 months old) hump their beds and blankets. I was concerned at first but the vet says not to worry because it's nothing sexual. |

| so my little guy has been humping from 6 months old until now. I took away the stuffed animals that he humps and that seems to have fixed the problem. He is 1 year old now. He was neutered before I got him so no idea why the urge is there

| Before we knew better, we brought Neo home at 6-7 weeks old. He humped his blankie as soon as we were home! He humped everything he could get hold of! It was so funny we even bought him a stuffed "Phucky Duck", lol. The vet told us that is actually was healthy for him to do it, as it helped to "seat" his testicles. Neo was neutered at 8 months and even though he does it much less now, he still has the urge. I wouldn't worry about it too much. |
