| Barking when out for walks, and advise? My furbaby Keno is 11 months old now, and always barks at someone when ever i take him out for walks, I enrolled him in classes at petco, they did help him with some things, but not with controlling his bark. does anyone else have this problem? and if so what do you guys do about it? |

| I don't have any advice for you, but I am dealing with this right now too. Hopefully people that have solved this can share their stories! |

| I'm a newbie, so I'm not sure if I can be of help or not, but I'll share what worked for us. First, anytime Fizz barked at our cats we would sit on the ground, lay a hand on her back and say the word 'calm' in a soothing tone. If the barking was frenetic (such as when she became terrified of the toilet plunger) we would turn her around so that her back was facing the object and have her sit. We would repeat this as often as necessary until she calmed down. When she turned around again - there was no barking and she was no longer afraid of the plunger. Now she rarely barks and is very easy to calm down when she does. Good luck!

| Alfie is coming up to 11 months and he has just started to bark at everyone, every dog and everything. He seems worse when he is out with the 2 German Shepherds. I took him to a car show, without the other 2, where there were hundreds of people and some dogs and he hardly barked at all. When he did get to be near another dog he just wanted to play. When he is with the other 2 he has the loudest bark, its quite embarassing.

| This person has a few barking 'episodes' on youtube that are really good.

| I have one that just barks when we go for a walk... she'll bark till she gets tired... like she's telling the world she has arrived. In the house she's fine, for the most part, occasional alert barking only. No dogs, no people, no airplanes, no cats... nothing around... she just barks. IDK.
