When Brooklyn was 5 months i started training her to go potty outside/patio. Brooklyn is now 7 months old and she roams freely in the apartment and i bought the PetSafe patio door a month ago and she's been peeing/pooping on the patio. She did have an accident a couple days ago cuz currently she is wearing a cone and she had trouble trying to get thru the doggy door...i felt bad cuz it wasnt her fault. |

Pixie was about 95% at 6 months and is 100% at 8 months. It took a lot of time though and I was home all day with her. She is pad trained but uses the outdoors as well. She likes going outside to pee now that it is nice out. |
after reading this, i am determined to train my yorkie (actually she is 1/4 miniature schnauzer) chloe (i just realized there's a lot of yorkies named chloe) as best of my abilities. two and a half years?! she is almost 4 months old now. i'll have to post blogs on here for my own records, & hopefully help others later on! |
Indy was fully trained around 5 months old. She's only 6 months now, but I literally saw it "click" with her and she is excellent about letting us know she has go outside. It was hard (and sometimes very frustrating!) work, but so worth it! |
I don't know if I have any trained Yorkies or not:confused:... I have 3 Yorkies and I cannot figure out which one is peeing on the floor. All I know is that every once in a while I see a puddle right next to the pooh pad. |
It was a good 8 months of CONSISTENT potty training until Sophie actually "got it". And we rarely have had an accident since. But I must stress again... "CONSISTENCY". Even when you don't feel like taking them outside cause you just did it 5 mins. ago! LOL! |

Maybe one of those will help you also. Good luck! |
