In my non-expert opinion, I believe Izzy's age is the primary problem. She is still a puppy and probably trying to assert herself.

My younger boy is 11 months old and has been with us for 3 months now. He is asserting himself, challenging his older brother. I have to maintain a strong leadership role to maintain order. Don't let Izzy push Twilight around.

I have a similar issue... Treasure is 2 and Olive is 5 months. Treasure is very passive aggressive and Olive is the bully. Treasure stands her ground and won't let Olive dominate her but she seldom retaliates. She's not as playful as Olive. Olive thinks she's playing sometimes when she's tormenting her sister. I've seem Treasure snap back at her so I'm not too concerned. I keep Olive in her crate when I'm at work and Treasure gets to run free. I don't know if it's mean or wrong, I just don't trust them alone together yet. I hope it gets better in the future.

Equal time does not work as they are not equals.
So which ever one is causing the most stress you either work it they go last or they go first. Which ever way it settles things down. Plus I start Nothing in life is free with them. Dogs do not look at the world as fair or equal they look at it totally as resource based and what is in it for them for comfort and benefit.
How do I get that to work for me the best.

I think separating them is smart. Did you see the thread in the Sick/Injured section about the 2 male Yorkies that caused each other serious injury? I don't know if they are neutered.

My boys spend very little time without human supervision, maybe 2 hours a day. Still, I won't take any chances of the boys playing WWF while they are alone. Even if they don't fight, they get each other going, tearing around the room and flying off the furniture.

I have 2 xpens connected to make a large area for Teddy, and Max has free run of the rest of the "romper room." The boys still enjoy each other's company and find ways to play through the fence.

The girls have actually gotten a lot better now that they're a little more used to each other. I think if the weather is bad I could trust them both together. (if the weather is bad they don't like going outside so we rely on potty pads) I think they just nap when I'm gone anyway. Treasure has gotten used to Olive's antics by now and will tell her off when she's sick of her. I will still check on them on my lunch break, of course. I always do. We'll give it another test run today and see how it goes. Makes me wish I had that webcam thing where I could watch them while I'm gone, lol. Oh well. I'm sure they'll be fine now.

Glad to hear that you are making great progress! I share your wish for a webcam to monitor the dogs, and I would add two-way sound capabilities so that I could correct them when they are doing something they shouldn't. :p

We have made progress too: Max allows me to pick up Teddy any time for any reason. I can hold Teddy and give him a kiss. Max is feeling a lot more secure.

Haha, I hear you on that, too. Olive still darts over when Treasure comes up to me to give me kisses. Today was the first time she crawled up in my lap! I was happy, but Olive wasn't, lol. It took me by surprise - Olive is always in my lap but today I look down and it's Treasure, lol! I had to hold Olive back a little to give her kisses.
