| Yorkie vs Chihuahua My 10 year old Yorkie is very friendly. 4 years ago we got a male chihuahua and they get along great. 1 year ago we got a 2 pound female chihuahua and all got along fine until about a month ago. Now the Yorkie will at times for seemingly no reason attack the little one. She grabs her by the neck and we have to physically separate them. Any suggestions about why this is happening and what to do about it? |

| I don't know why this is happening, but for the little one's sake, I would keep them seperated at all costs. One that tiny can be killed very easily. Better to seperate them until you have a better solution, than to have the little one seriously injured or killed.

Is your 10 yr old Yorkie a male or female? Are all of the dogs fixed?

| I don't know what the problem is, but I would suggest calling a trainer for a behavioral consultation. Keep them separated for now......could be just a "mother-daughter" kindof thing.

| i had the exact same peoblemn with missy and kitty... i had to move out (to my grannys) and take my dogs with me... missy is mums. they were fighting for the alpha position amongst the dogs and the trainer we paid £150 could only advise us to crate one of them at all times... try a behaviourist (or a few) by email Then consulation if you think they are good enough, i hope you get this sorted, it can get very violent... |
