it took pann two nights in a crate in our room to wear us down lol we let him wonder the third night and surprise to us he didn't have an accident he knew to use the pad! so i put his carrier by my bed and hes slept their happily since |
I housesit for a woman with a yorkie that has a child's playpen for her pup right next to her bed. She has a bed in one end and a pee pad in the other end. The puppy can see her in bed all night long which is really comforting. During the day, she throws a couple of toys in there while she's at work and leaves the TV on and her little furbaby never seems to have any separation anxiety. I think the playpen is a great substitution for the exercise pen if you have a carpeted home! If they miss the pee pad, it's not such a huge deal in a playpen! You can usually wash the pads at the bottom of the playpen to get rid of the odor. |

In the past 30 years all of my yorkies except 1, he preferred his crate in the beginning slept with me and there were no messes as long as I woke up every so often when they were babies and let them relieve themselves and maybe a little snack. Good luck. Vicki |
