| potty outside but poo on rug inside Good morning everyone, i have not been on this website for a while now. But here I am again. . . .I have a 2 year old yorkie who will not poop outside or inside on her potty pee pad. She is train to use her potty pee pad but she will not poop on it. She never did. This is driving me crazy. She is a very smart yorkie but she don't seem to want to poop on the potty pee pad. When she goes outside she will walk around like there is no business to take care of. I will did tell her to go to her cage so that I can let her out to give a her a chance to poop again, As soon as I'm not looking she will slip off somewhere and poop I will sometimes catch her in the act and she will stop it and hold it. What should I do to get her to poop outside or the potty pee pad. |

| My advice would be to gate off that area so she doesn't have access to it. And go back to the basics. I had to do that with several of mine who had decided that the carpet was their potty area. I kept them from that area for as couple of months until they were consistently going outside. |

| Put a poop (or a smear) on the pad, shampoo the carpet, with an enzyme cleaner, and really restrict her acess to the carpet. Do you walk her? or put her in a fenced yard? I have found the walk stimulates the poop-action... Good luck!

| Go for a long walk until she poops. Most pups have a poop schedule a couple times a day. She might just want a warm place to do her thing.
