| Dog Training YOUTUBE please search for the username on YOUTUBE zakgeorge21 This guy makes total sense of training dogs... you should see the crazy things he gets dogs to do with frisbees and other various tricks like addition and stuff.. more than just obedience. Crazy tricks.. he doesn't teach like Cesar Milan where you are the dominant alpha. He teaches loose leash walking and all sorts of amazing techniques His method differs from the Dog Whisperer because it teaches that the dog actually understands you like a child and wants learn because it is already dependent on you for food and company. It's quite cool - you don't have to impose yourself, you just teach it like you teach a kid to hold your hand when crossing the street. You don't have to put it on its back or yell at it. He posted mostly on Youtube and now he has been offered his own show on Animal Planet and exploded this last year. I used his technique and my Yorkie understands everything I teach.. just repetition! search him out on youtube! Last edited by chewie2009; 12-09-2009 at 03:53 AM. |

| This guy is already on Animal Planet! A show called Superdog, I believe. I want to add though that Cesar doesn't teach tricks or typical sit-stay-down stuff... he works with problem dogs who often have learned to run the household, it's a bit different and not really comparable.

| You can absolutely use this method to work with aggression as the clicker sound goes though the reptilian part of the brain and will over ride the reaction of aggression and change it from within. Where as the other suggested method stops the brain form learning and working and does not do anything but teach learned helplessness. It is the best method to work training with dogs, that is out there right now. Also as it has been well studied in animals of all kinds and found to be the most effective method of training it is being reworked in the form of Tag teaching to work with athlete's and autistic children. They are finding great impovement faster. You are so on the right track and I hope you continue to enjoy your growing partnership with your dog and relationship of mutual trust and respect and kindness grows. For a true working partnership is a great thing to experince and to watch a dog experiment to see what he needs to do to get that clicker to go is a wonder to see. What you can do is look into 100 thingsto do with a box ideas and watch what your dog will come up with. It is a blast. I love seeing dogs brains in full working order. JL
