Worst Dog EVER!

I little 3 month old "Scooby" and he is becoming a serious pain in the butt. His first 2 months he would use his pad correctly to pee and poop on the pad. I then took him out of his crate and put him in a play pen (after he was 1 month old) then 1 month later (when he was 2 months) he learned to climb the 2 1/2 foot playpen like a ladder, and i always found him running around the house (finding pee and poop everywhere). So i could no longer keep him in there. I started to recrate him and he has been seriously peeing and pooping in his crate out of spite. I know you guys say they don't do this but i know he is. He's mad because he can no longer escape like could. He tries to open the door all day and gets no where. He seems to like using his pad when he's allowed to run around when im home, but still makes mistakes on the carpet. I watch him very closely and reprimand him if i catch him. The problem is with the showering. Basically this seems to be the same routine over and over. When i leave for class i put him in his crate. Then 30sec's to 1min later he pee's and poops in his crate and starts to yipe really loud. It doesn't matter what time i put him in the crate he still does this. I've washed him 3 times in the last 48hours and I'm really tired of it (plus i know they should only get showers once a week). I even let him sleep in his pee and pooped crate all night last night. Then cleaned him, watched him pee on the pad. Then i tossed him in the crate and guess what. He did it again! I don't know what to do! I had to buy a muzzle to quite him when he's sitting in his crate because after he uses the restroom he barks to loud it sounds like he's dieing.

What can i do to get him to stop peeing and pooping in his crate, Do i just not clean it for a while??

How long are you crating him And how big is he?

Perrella 10-20-2009 01:23 PM

Confused

Ok, not following you. If your little guy is 3 mos, what age did you bring him home? Did he have the much needed time with his mother and litter mates to train and learn proper mouthing etc

chachi 10-20-2009 01:24 PM

Dont let him sleep in his waste that is cruel. Puppymillers do that. He isnt doing it out of spite dogs dont do or understand that. Get a smaller crate and train him to go outdoors

I forgot to mention he soils his crate everynight when were sleeping. Its been going on for a week now.

We'll before i usually only crated him when i was away, but lately I have been keeping him in the crate to force him to stay in soiled crate. Yesterday he was in the crate 14hours which (9hours are when im asleep) The other is when im at school. Today I'm going to pretty much leave him in all day and only let him out for food and water.

He is 6lbs and 8ounces. I can already tell he's going to be a big yorki.

This just mademe very sad for yourlittle baby.

he is just a baby

He is not doing it out of spite.
he doesn't even know what spite is
No dog does.

It is most likely out fo fear

he is an infant
What do you expect from an infant.

You cannot let him run free lon the carpet at 3 months old.

He isn't trained yet

he should not be allowed to run free until he is trained.

sometimes it takes a year to train them

That is absolutely horrible and unacceptable

You cannot expect a 3 month old puppy to hold it all night let alone 14 hours

What is wrongc with you???

If he is 6 pounds at 3 months he is going to be about 12 pounds. But he is still a baby do not treat him like that.

dianaww 10-20-2009 01:39 PM

I am very sadddened by this, if you had a human baby who soiled it's nappy would you keep it in it to " teach it a lesson " No, you would understand it is a baby.

Yorkies respond to a firm voice, and lots of praise when they get it right, they respond to love more than anything else.

Please Please have patience with this little baby !!!!

Perrella 10-20-2009 01:39 PM

What is wrong with you....14 hrs....are you kidding me??? You have said it all....the PROBLEM is NOT with this little baby, believe me. He is scared to death of you by now, not even knowing what he has been really treated like, but we can only imagine.

He is still very much a baby and needs to go out in the middle of the night, did you think of these things before you got him. Have you ever had a dog before? You will make him sick being in his own waste like that.

Please do the right thing for him and rehome him....or step back and get a grip!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbdownh

dianaww 10-20-2009 01:40 PM

Oh and I forgot to add, He is NOT THE WORST DOG EVER, far from it. He is a beautiful precious baby.

That would be considered animal cruelty.:eek:

Please, think about how you are treating this puppy. He's only a baby, and he can sense your feelings. He's confused and scared - he just needs love, positive attention and reassurance right now. He is NOT doing this to spite you. You need to calm down and really THINK about what you are doing to this poor baby!

I got him when he was 7 weeks old. The owner wanted to get rid of them as soon as possible and i didn't want him so early but told me if i didn't take him she would give him to someone else. (I didn't pay for him, the lady isn't a breeder either just accidental puppies)

How do you know he's not doing it out of spite! Prove me wrong show me proof. Untill you do know one really knows. Go find a journal article that someone did proving dogs cant do things out of spite, if none exists to create that study and come back to me. Just because you belive its not true doesnt make it true. People belive in god, that doesnt mean its true.

Yes i know letting him sleep in his waste is bad but i have no choice. Today i showered him, crated him. Left for food came back and he soiled him self. I then showered him, put him back in the crate and he pee'd again all over himself. I'm not going to clean up after him over and over.

As for getting a smaller crate, this crate is definitly the smallest he can fit. He has little room, He can walk in it a little and lay completly down. I didn't want him to not be able to move around.

Again about the spite, Untill someone finds a psychologist/researcher who prooved dog's don't do things out of spite please dont tell me otherwise.

He used to get 15+ hours of freedom a day, but once he learned to climb his playpen he's lost that since he gets out and pee's everwhere. I don't know why they make play pens with wholes in it that dogs and use as a latter, makes no sense. I need one with a lid. I wish i knew yorkies were this smart i would have gotten one with a lid to begin with.

For God's sake, he's an INFANT!!! He hasn't been alive long enough to learn how to make these evil plots against you, even if dogs were capable of spite (which they're not). Grow up and do what's best for this puppy - find him a GOOD owner who will take GOOD care of him, not abuse him like this for something he can't help. I wish you'd known this (or anything) about yorkies, too! :(

chachi 10-20-2009 01:47 PM

You can make a lid for the playpen with a fitted sheet

How is this animal cruelty. The doctor specifically said not to wash him more than once a week, well doing it twice a day would seriously make him SICK!

Um are you kidding me! He sleeps for 9 hours in the crate and then comes out, then I have to put him back in the crate while im at school. I have no choice I'm not letting him run around peeing on everything. He had his playpen but he escapes every time.

As for rehoming him i dont think so. Is a single person who lives alone not allowed to have a pet! Who determined this law, you? Seriously though, its not like its going to be forever once he's trained he'll gain his freedem.
