How old are you and how many dogs have you had? I am guessing this is just a joke...no one would come on here and say and do these things to a newborn baby. and if I am wrong... You need help... |
If your dog was 7 weeks on July 23rd when you posted about him, he would be a little over 5 months now. Not that that matters if everything you are saying is true. Somehow I smell troll here, for the sake of the puppy, real or not, thats what I hope this is |

In case it isn't - As to how you're committing animal cruelty, you are leaving a puppy confined to a cage, living in his own excrement, and saying you are going to leave him in there even longer to teach him a lesson. What in the world would you call it? |

So, let me get this straight...you keep him in a crate, punish him by making him stay in his own waste and muzzle him at 3 months of age? Wow...you don't have the patience to own a dog. If you can't deal with this puppy correctly you should admit defeat and rehome the poor thing so he can have a better life with someone who knows what they are doing. However, if you want to try and to things right you're going to have to start over. Purchase a puppy playpen that has a top so he can't escape, get some puppy pads and train him to stay in the playpen and use the pads, keep his food, water, bed and a few toys in the playpen with him on one side and the pad on the other. Leave him in the playpen while you are gone or sleeping...when you are home take him outside to potty often...at 3 months his little bladder can't hold it for more than about 3 hours...rule of thumb is 1 hour for each month of age. Once you have him out and he potties you can play for a while and give him a treat, then it's right back in the playpen. Never take him out when he cries (unless there is something wrong or he is hurt) or you will reinforce that behavior...he cries and you pick him up. Continue doing this and stretching the time out of the pen longer as he ages...after a little time and some hard work on your part he should be trained. Also, have him neutered before he starts to lift his leg and that should help with his training too. If you don't have the time, funds and patience to do this with and for your little puppy then I would have to recommend you rehome him to someone who does. Training a dog is like raising a child...you can't react to something they do...you have to take a step back and act on it. You are reacting by leaving him in a soiled crate to teach him a lesson but it's not working...you should be upset with yourself for leaving him in his crate so long that he had the accident and you need to decide what you are going to do to change things so he doesn't have accidents in his crate again. Help him learn through love and compassion...not anger or spite. He doesn't know what you expect out of him until you train him to do something properly and praise him for it. Good luck... |

I came here for help, I will not give up my dog and if no one on here is going to be nice enought to help me vs bash me then i wont come back for help again, and then you can blame your self for not helping me help him. |

and stop puinishing him for something that he has no clue about. You are litterally scaring the poop out of him. That is why he dos it when you THROW him into his crate. And to be honest I think you have done so much damage already that he will never stop being frightened of you. So it is best if you find him a new home. |
Yea Right....it would appear you have come on here and started bashing kind members who have tried to help you. If in fact you have a dog (which I doubt) then not to worry it will be dead soon...I bet you also feed it table scraps. |

LOL! You need to re-read your first post, because you are contradicting yourself, maybe get with yourself and get you'alls story straight....:D ps: my last post in this thread, not worth bantering just so you can get enjoyment and tick people off |
Are you in Davis California??? What school are you in? What courses are you taking? Put a picture of the dog up and the crate... |

It's not bashing...the truth is...leaving him in his own waste is beyond CRUEL!! Sorry, but that is the bold truth and I'm so sure it hurts. What do you think it is doing to him, he feels your frustration. He is reacting to your actions. How much exercise is he getting during the day? He will definately need taken out at least once during the night. He sounds like a high energy guy and will need alot of daily activity, he is bored to death. You stated 9 hrs for you to sleep, school & work? Where does he fit in your life or schedule for that matter? I understand you wanting to keep him, but he has to have a place and time in your life. They don't just become good dogs, they need worked with. I know it's hard for you and very nerve wracking, but you have to stop and take a look at the whole picture here. |
