Good point. He is 9 months old, and doesn't have his "boys" making any close to an appearance. I thought that a trip to the vet was necessary for that....but that also could be why he is struggling. Do you think?

I loved the comment about a stay-at-home Mom.

I think a trip to the vet is a good idea.

Also.. I don't know if you've tried having him on the bed or not but I have put my puppies in a soft crate right on the bed. That way they are with us and there is no chance of them getting hurt, you said he is small.

I think you should treat him and you to some time together... I know sometimes life can be frustrating and the lowest one on the totem poll is the dog (not to say you think he is low, just lower than the baby and DH). You may just need some time with him (for you) time to enjoy your sweet little yorkie, the one you wanted and searched for. Please keep us updated! I know you will get lot's of good advice on YT there are some seriously knowledgable people on here.

I think letting him sleep with you is maybe a good idea, but did I read that right? He is 9 mths and his testicles have not dropped? If I'm reading that correctly that is definitely a problem. They should have not only dropped but been removed long ago....A trip to the vet could change both your lives.

Ok so I have a 9 almost 10 week old pup. She is in a playpen from 9-10pm till 6 am. She Sleeps! Yes sleeps. She gets up once to pee at some point and goes back to bed. (puppy pad)
My trick:

1. Let her play from 4-9 inside and out, or chew on toy
2. Hot water bottle
(food and water at all times)

Layla does not cry untill about 6 am and she NEEDS to go out.

She is in and out of the play pen during the day, if daddy is home, and I take her out at lunch time. Same spot everytime.

She has puppy pads over newspaper in a far corner of the house and is ok about using that area but she is only 9 weeks!

I think the key to training your little boy is
1. Bond with the dog
2. read the dogs signals
3. Take him outside and play (business first then play)
4. Exercise and stimulation. He has to be board to death!
5.Get him fixed if not
6. More exercise
