| Potty Training Advice So my little yorkie Schmoo is 2 years old. She is a paper trained girl...ugh sometimes She will use her papers 75% of the time then choose the bathroom mat to poop on...only poop, she seems to love it here. I have a small bathroom and hate hate hate closing the door. Any suggestions? I am thinking a treat reward for everytime I see her use her papers, poop or pee, something that I don't usually give her and healthy of course. Will this work? Hard to discipline her as you Never catch her the bathroom act, it's always just like a little surprise for you...like she sneaks away when you're busy...lol Any advice would be appreciated...and how hard is it to litter train her now that she is two? Any chances of doing that? thanks Last edited by admin; 10-09-2009 at 01:27 PM. |

My Lil Man! Donating Member | I have never tried litter training but have always wondered about it. LOL. I wish I could be of more help but just wanted to say goodluck and say that my Gizmo is a stinker and a half...we have tried so hard with pee pad training him...he is such a lil stinker that when we get him out of his kennel we put him straight on pee pad...he pees and we reward him (works very well and works everytime) haha...but then after getting his treat he goes into the living room and pees again!!! Like I said..he is a stinker!! Goodluck! Oh and if you are going to stick with the pee pad training...I recommend you get some washable pee pads! There is a lady on here that makes them...they are great because you can wash them and reuse where after pee gets on one pee pad...even the smallest spot..I am ready to throw it away! LOL! |

| sentenced to being with me! Quote:
I got lots of advise, and some of it is working... the watchful eye was the best advise, but because life is busy, and I do like to blink...lol... I put a leash on the "offender" and she was sentenced to "being with me"... if she got up, I got up, and went straight to the pad, and hovered over her... It is still a work in progress, but it is working...it is the only way that I could be 'watching' her...every moment
