| Potty Training Hi Everyone, im new to the site as well as new to owning a puppy. I purchased Kujo this previous saturday and im trying to potty train him. He's 3 months tomorrow. Right now i have him in one of those exercise pens, its about 3 x 3 or 4 x 4, and in there he has his bed, food, water toys and the puppy pad. I have been taking him out in the yard to go potty about every 1.5-2 hrs. For some reason seems he wont go outside. When i go check on him in the AM, he will have pooped and pee'd on the pad. Thats fine i guess, but i want him to be able to hold it over night. I let him out at about 1030-11 pm before he goes to bed. So im hoping he can learn to hold his potty over night and then go in the AM when i let him out before i leave for work. I took him out this morning and was out there for 10 minutes and he wudnt go. We came inside and he had pee'd in the pen. I have plastic layed out in the pen just incase he doesnt go on the pad. Can anyone help??!! I need some suggestions on how to get him to go outside exclusively so like that i can let him be free around the house. Also, should i be keeping his food n water down at all times?? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Mike |

| Congratulations on your new baby. The general rule is that a puppy will hold it 1 hr. for every month he/she is old. I always set a timer at night. Just a sacrifice you have to make if you don't want a mess. ~Joanne~
