With all do respect meganmomma.. I do give my dog love and praise.. She knows that I love her very much..She is confine to a pen I said that on first post. I have a pet yard for her in the kitchen. And I don't mean get it as in I want her to pee and poop on the pad because I said she was going good on the pad and she is good with that. What I am worried about is her ripping them apart.

How about some washable peepee pads? We purchased some from a member here and they are great

Yeah I'm actually on Petsmart right now checking it out. I need to go tomorrow... I was thinking either washable or the training pad trays.. Does anyone know if those work?

I wasn't able to find the tray. I got the purina doggie liter box (no liter) and put the washable pads inside. When they were at a point to be trusted again with the throw away pads, then I went back to them :D

I have 2 different kinds of trays. Now they use them as little beds instead if Teddy is not chewing on them. Teddy still has an occasional accident but not too bad. It just takes time when they are this young. I started out with a small crate and then worked up in size as he grew. I know that can be expensive but I was lucky enough to have been given 2 of the smallest ones. Both of my dogs are crated when we are out for any amount of time.

I think you are feeling normal frustrations but you are figuring it out. Perhaps you were just venting here, maybe looking for some advise, and reassurance. We have all been through they puppy thing (or are still going thru it) It can be very trying at times but someday you'll look into her sweet little eyes and say I remember when you were such a little sheet!:) I don't think you will give up on her, thats why you posted here!

I remember those puppy/teen months. It was an extremely frustrating time. You'll get thought it though, just be VERY patient and loving. It's like having a child in some ways.

I think your little one will benefit from being confined in a smaller space. I recommend crate training although not all on YT agree with that. It worked well for Tink and she is crated when I go to work. She is just fine and there are no ill effects. She gets some safe toys and her blanket and she is content.

I started crate training Tink the day I brought her home at 9 weeks. I got her on a Friday evening and it took until Monday for her to be poo-free in the crate and until Wednesday to be potty-trained in the crate. She still had the occassional accident for a few weeks but it was worth it. I used shop towels that I bought at WalMart and just threw them away. I lived in an apartment then that didn't have laundry facilities so I couldn't be running to the laundromat every night.

Our crate didn't come with a divider so we took a piece of cardboard and cut it to fit really tightly and wedged it in the crate.
Sometimes even with barely enough room to lay down curled up in a ball, Johnny would pee in his crate and we'd find him sitting in the corner as far away from it as he could get.
We used the WizDog - INDOOR DOG POTTY for: dog house training, housebreaking puppies, dog and puppy training which has a grate that goes over the pee-pee pads or even newspaper to hold it in place. Even then, he sometimes pulled out the pad or paper to shred.
As others have said, walking the dog makes a huge difference in behavior.

I do get very frustrated but I would never give my Roxy away I love her to much.. She's my angel... I'm gonna try the rewashable pads.. Is there anyone out there that can help me create a schedule with crate training... I want to teach her to go outside. I need to block off half of the crate but I'm afraid that if I put a cardboad box with her she nibbles on it and then just rip it up...

We crate trained Lexi from the time we got her at 12 weeks. She has never had an accident in the crate. She is there all night 8-9 hours! During the day never longer then 4 hours. When you are not home confining is a good thing. Where they are safe and secure. To much room=to many fears to overcome. At least while they are still a puppy and learning to trust you and their enviroment. JMO

In order to create a schedudale you need to work within both of your scheduales. Does she hold it through the night? I am sorry I do not remember if you mentioned in your first post are you home during the day or do you work?

You can always wrap the cardboard box with a sheet or you can go to home depot and get some screen and use that. The most important thing do do first is make sure the puppy is comfortable in the crate put a few treats in and have the pup walk in on its own this way it associates the crate with good things.

One very important rule of thumb nude pup only in the crate no collar no clothes very imporant

I do work I work from 7am-4pm I come home everyday at 12pm for lunch to check up on her.... Very good idea I think I am going to have to get a screen or something that way I can block off the crate.. I do work where we sell windows so maybe just maybe I can order a screen with that size hehehe I never even thought of that.. Thanks so much..

When we got Lexi, I googled crate training your dog and there were many good suggestions. We put the crate in our bedroom up on a nightstand so she could see us at night. We gave her a treat when we put her in there. If she fussed we talked to her. It was a long night the first night. And we took her out to pee every 2 hours.
During the day we coaxed her into the kennel with treats, leaving the door open. We then just shut her in for longer periods of time. While we were in the room. Then When we would leave for 1/2 hour then and hour, etc etc.
Now keep in mind we had flexible work hours that week and my husband works from home frequently.
So this may or may not work for you.
