Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I am extremely worried about Lola. I posted a thread earlier because I was worried about getting kicked out of my apartment because of her excessive barking. I still have not been able to get that under control. However, this weekend was crazy. I'm not quite sure if anything happened, but Lola was acting really strange. She would sit in the corner of the room and shake, and squeak, and wouldn't move. I would call her but she wouldn't come. She was acting extremely stand-offish, and this is incredibly abnormal for her. Then, yesterday, my bf and I went to coffee and were sitting outside and Lola was with us. She was completely freaking out the entire time. She gets this very anxious energy and makes growls, and squeaks, and shakes. It's almost like something has happened. She does go with a dog walker, and I asked her if anything had happened during their last walk. She said nothing has happened (I think I believe her, but it's just strange). We have a golden retriever as well (who Lola absolutely adores!!). When we were on a walk on Saturday, Brodie started playing with some other dogs, and Lola went absolutely CRAZY!! I was holding her in my arms, and she was barking (really high-pitched, anxiety induced), shaking like crazy. I've NEVER seen her act that anxious, and bark that way. The golden ended up not being able to play, and we had to go home. It was very bizarre. I don't know what's going on. She's always had anxiety, but not at all this badly. I'm afraid it just might be getting worse, as she gets older. I need to stop it now. My bf and I were very concerned after this weekend. This was not at all normal. She was acting extremely terrified and protective all weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions at all on how to deal with this behavior?? I desperately need help! I think I might try to hire another trainer, but I've gotten quite a few trainers in the past, and no one has really helped me that much. Please help if you can! Thanks so much everyone!!! **Sorry about the long post |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Oh yeah, and she's about 2 years old. She's been potty trained for a while, but yesterday there was a huge wetspot next to my bed where she had peed. She hasn't peed in the house for years. She has a doggy door that leads to a porch, where she has her little potty area. Eek, I don't get it. Also, she gets lots of exercise. Has a dog walker, and then I walk her when I get home. Please help!! Thanks! ![]() |

| ![]() This sounds like a difficult situation. Her anxiety is extreme. I'm not able to give advice on this, but hopefully someone else has had a similar experience and can give you some guidance. If it were my dog, I think I'd stop the dog walker for awhile. My guess would be that something happened on one of those walks. Just a guess.... Good luck and I don't blame you for being concerned. ![]()
