double post sorry!! :( |
How comforting to know I am not alone. Just finished renovating after Hurricane Ike and along came Hurricane Isabella Yorkshire. A foster at that....so she will get her chewing out of her system in my home and go to her forever home and be a little doll. I do confine her when I go out, but it is impossible to watch her every single move. She can eat the slat of a wood blind or the corner of a baseboard in no time....reminds me of the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. The worst she has done is to eat a LV dog collar right off my Armani. Guess it was my fault for buying something so ridiculously expensive. |

I had the same problem with my little guy and started to spray on the spot(Spray training spray from the pet store) and say no when he would chew..Took a while but it worked...The key is using the spray when he does it, not later after his mind has moved on...Good luck!!! |
I have to laugh at this!! My puppy started doing the same thing!! Couch legs - shredded, Coffee table legs -bitten up, baseboards, and even part of the wall - missing corners...and now she has started gnawing at my wood baskets! Bitter apple doesn't work, but i saw a few posts about deodorant so maybe i'll try that! Glad to know my puppy isn't psycho! |

I did this too and it really worked! My little guy was afraid of the can. As a matter of fact all we needed to do was put the can where he would see it and he avoided it like the plague. Very cheap and effective watch dog. |
