Hey. I hope this will help you train your pup. I am I first time Yorkie owner and we have had Jack for 3 weeks now but I have learned to watch for a difference in the way he walks. For example, when he walks around my apartment and he looks like he is waddling more I know he has to poop. At that point, I can rush him outside before he begins the poop position. Or if it seems like he isn't going to go outside when I try, I watch for him to begin running alot. Usually after like 3 to 4 sprints I know he will go unless he hasn't eaten. My advise to help potty train would be to just watch and see how exactly he/she acts before going so you can better predict. It was such a pain to constantly take him out everytime he sniffed because 80% of the time I was wrong and it became frustrating. Good luck!

Great tip I got from another thread. A YT member suggested using a vinegar/water solution- mix 50/50 or you can even dilute the mixture with more water, but it is supposed to deep clean your grout and deodorize it. Give it a try!

Bella has the same problem, she was really good for a while, now she is 7 months and I would say she goes on the pad an 80% of the time but 60 of that 80 is on the corners of the pad so it ends up half carpet half pad, I do not know why she would not do it on the middle......:confused:,
I don't know if I'm not using the right pad or something, also I'm trying to take her out as often as I can but when she comes in she goes right to the edge or the corner of the pad.....

Besides that, she is so smart she does all kinds of tricks that you can't even imagine...... but wait, only if you have a treattttttttt...... no treat no trick......;)

We had heard about the bell, tried it a couple of times with our Gracie when she was young. She was terrified of it! She hated it. I thought it was because of her reflection in the bell, so I painted it pink. We tried it again, and still she would whine and almost cringe at it. Glad to hear it worked for some....She's 17 months old and no progress...

My Suzi is 5 months old and uses her pee pads well. However, the poo is a near miss thing. :aimeeyork
