At What Age was your Pup Potty Trained? What age was your puppy completely potty trained? How about their first accident free day? My Bindi is 20 weeks old today and does not have an accident free day unless I am watching her like a hawk. Sometimes while home shell go to the door bc she has to potty but not always. I started using a bell on Monday and one day she actually rang it. However I spend a lot of time at my BFs house and she rarely if ever has an accident there. She USUALLY goes straight to the door and scratches. |
Some by 6 months but mostly closer to 1 year. |
you mean a yorkie can really be 100% potty trained??? LOL My males all wear wee-wee wraps to prevent accidents. My girls will go on the potty pads but I have to really watch them. They will go outside but they don't go to the door to tell me. I wish we could do puppy hypnosis! loll |
ben was 6 months just stay consistant and he/she will catch on to go outside. |
Ralphie is actually almost completely potty trained. I don't know how I got so lucky but he almost never has an accident. He is trained to use the wee wee pads and it is so cute because he will haul booty all of the sudden to his pad and pee like he had been holding it for a really long time and was afraid he wouldn't make it :p. sooo cute. But he does have his spot where he will poopy occasionally instead of on the pads, it is in a corner like he thinks it his secret, special poopy place. Every dog is different though, little Bindi will catch on. |
Autumn was 6 1/2 months old once she was housetrained but I did not get her until she was just over 5 months old. Blaze was just under 4 months old! |
Katy was 6-8 months. The last time she went in the house (she has a doggy door) it was because it was raining. She knew she was in trouble. When we got home. She ran out the doggy door on to the back porch then into the back yard and sat in the pouring rain. She waited for us to feel sorry for her and call her back. We never did. She sat out there (punishing herself in the rain) for about an hour and a half. When she came back in we did not say anything to her. She has never gone in the house again. |
Franklin is still not poop trained, but as far as pee goes, he's been pretty much trained since the week we got him. The first couple of days we had some accidents, but once he got settled in and figured out where he was supposed to go, he has never had an accident. Sometimes he pees in the bathroom where there is supposed to be a potty pad (but I forgot to put one down), or sometimes he misses his potty pad but that's it. Of course that's here. At my mom's, he's not at all. |
Lucy is a year old. I'll let you know when she's 100% |
By 1 year Loki was having accident free weeks. Sam took longer because she wasn't trained when we got her (at like 10 months) but she was trained like 6 months later. They ring a bell to go outside. Occasional accidents (like a few per month total) are mostly my fault. Like, yesterday Loki peed on the floor but I was in the closet upstairs putting laundry away and ironing for like 30 minutes. He probably rang his bell and I didn't hear it. That's not his fault. There will always be accidents like that but yes they can be trained to know they need to go outside and to ask to go out. :D |
Max has just turned 5 months old. He's been good since we brought him home at eight weeks old. He's never used pee pads, only played with them lol. Some days were good, others were a nightmare, but after a few weeks he'd try to let us know when needed out. He will bark or go towards the door and look to see if you're following him now. He is not accident free, but we do have free weeks. |
by 5 mos. but we watched him like a hawk. I am home with him too so that made it easier. |
Lulu was fully trained at 8 months. Zoey is now 34 weeks and we still get accidents. |
Lucky me!!! Winston seems to have come potty trained at 8 weeks old. Seriously...he goes potty outside and outside only, since day one. Do I win the prize? |
Jeter did great with potty training. He was 9 weeks old when I got him and he has had just 3 accidents total and they were the first few weeks of being home. He will be 7 months old on April 30 and was pretty much potty trained by 3 months of age. He only goes outside and I must say that I am home all day with him so I think that played a BIG roll in his potty training success;) I really watched to see tell tale signs that he had to go and I would say " Go Potty" and walk him to the door, he caught on quick that he was to go outside! Now he will come up to us and just look at us to get our attention, then he will go to the door and sit till we get over to him to take him out! |
