Max was eight weeks old when we brought him home, and he bit quite a lot, not true biting, playful biting. We have said "no bite", next we say," only kisses", from the start. Now he gives "kisses", and hardly ever bites now. I've never put Max in his cage for being naughty. I have always told him "good boy", when putting him in his cage. He knows it's his own place, and goes there when he wants time out from us lol.:) |
When my Chewy was tiny and used to bite our hands, we would put one of her chew bones in her mouth and hold it for her. Just keep putting it in her mouth...she would gnaw on it for awhile and then give our hands a nip and we would just put the chew rawhide or whatever in her mouth and keep holding it for her. She would fall asleep doing that many times! It always worked for us. They are just teething, and they do grow out of it. |
