| Potty Tips I have had my yorkie for almost 2 weeks now and she came to me pad trained and I haven't done too much to take her outside until our first vet visit. I just put a pad in whatever room we are in. She does pretty good to hit it, however she misses sometimes. I don't think I'm too late to start the outside training, but does anyone have any tips. I just can't crate her because she barks and barks and does not give up even when ignored. I might try tethering her to me, but she's hard to keep a tight eye on Thanks friends |

| Have you tried covering the crate? Use a small blanket and cover all sides. Holly used to scream bloody murder when I crated her. My puppy school teacher suggested the cover. Worked like a charm. Just make the crate a happy place with some great toys and chews, and very cushy bedding.

| Covering the crate does help. Also leaving it out during the time she is free to roam so she can use it for a sanctuary. She's just a baby. She'll catch on. Just try to be consistent.
