This was very sweet!! I hope things continue to improve!!!

By the way, sorry to hear that you got your feelings hurt!!!! I understand that some breeders do not want to sell to a family with children (that is their choice).....but in our family Buddy would be sooooo sad without the kids running around!!! I have "doggie" rules for Buddy's protection and NO ONE breaks the rules....so everyone stays happy!!!

I seen an episode of the dog whisperer about this, He said that this women was favoring the dog over the son and the dog picked on it and had become the dominant one. She had to put her son next to her and every time the puppy tried to attack the boy the women had to correct the dog. I wish I knew what episode it was.
Not saying you are miss treating you son but because the puppy is smaller you feel like you have to protect him more. I did the same thing when I had my female baby and she got very aggressive with my human child. I didnt know what to do at the time ,so I got rid of her. I regret it every day. I hope you can get it under control.

This morning I kept the treats by the bed and gave my son one when he came in... NO BARKING:D :D :D

I can't wait for him to get home from school to see what she does:D

That is exactly what I have done... When my Girls came to me she was VERY timid, shy, and scared of everything. Her sister on the other hand, after a while would venture out and explore. So because she was so afraid I have obviously nursed that behavior without realizing what I was doing. So now I have to fix it:(

I don't think most people who have dogs are experts and have ALL of the answers to any problem that may come up with having a dog. You can't always predict behavior issues. Some dogs may not have any problem with a child that likes to run around and is noisy. The OP is coming to this forum for help and it looks like she's received some great advise. I don't see the need to bash someone because she's wasn't an expert on dog behavior before she had one, rather she should be commended for asking for advise and wanting to do right by both her son and furbaby.

Something I didn't mention but now seems prevalent is that out of all 4 of my Yorkies, she is the only one that has a problem with my son. The other 3 love him and play with him all the time.

I think it may just be a difference in personality:confused:

I hope things continue to improve for you. Sometimes, we just need a change of approach. Can't wait to hear more stories of your son becoming a little dog whisperer. ;)

I was going to suggest making your son part of training. I'm glad it's getting better.
Next, I would let him hear you bragging to people how wonderful he is with her and when they get the tricks learned make sure he gets to show people what he has taught her. They'll be buddies before you know it. :)
