Coach may fix it but you have to pay $20 S&H each way!

Coach usely fixes it (you pay) if you buy it directly from one of their stories. Going indirectly through Macy's, Dillard's, etc, probably not. LV fixes it but requires payment as well too. Gucci is the only one I know of that will fix a defect free of charge within a year..that's why i stick with them. =)

Hi All,

I've actually worked for COACH and they have a pretty good policy. It's usually at the discretion of the manager of the store that you go to because they determine how used the bag is and whatnot but for future reference, if you bought a bag at COACH and show them a receipt, as long as they still have the bag in stock, they will replace it for you. We've had customers bring in used bags (less than 1 year old) and get completely new bags when there is a defect. BUT the thing is, these bags are usually purchased at a COACH store. I haven't seen any people come in with bags that they purchased from Macy's or Nordy's or anywhere else for that matter. But it doesn't hurt to ask. I worked at the store in Carlsbad, CA and Brea, CA and I think we were pretty lenient about a lot of things.

Just to clarify, I mean when you first bought the bag, not when it's more than a year old. Not that COACH quality doesn't last this long but by that time, it's hard to determine how old the bag is, depending on how much you've used it and tossed it around.
