KONG Toy!! Ok I just purchased the Kong Toy for Bailey but I just noticed that it comes in puppy like a tie dye blue or pink.......I just got the classic Kong which is red and is pretty small and it said it was for small breeds. Now that I am reading the little paper that comes with it says for dogs 9 months and up? Is it still ok for Bailey? |
The puppy one I think the rubber was a little softer. I didn't get it because it look like another dog had already bitten into it and the rubber was coming apart. We were at petsmart so I don't if a huge dog got to it or not. Personally I think you'll be okay |
I Bought The Same One After Reading About Both Of Them At The Store...i Figured They Were Very Similar In Size And He Would Hopefully Play With It A Long Time So Why Have To Buy Another One After Hes Grown A Bit. Cooper Loves His And Has Had No Problems At All. |

i think the pastel ones are a waste of money.. i got layla one and she chewed through it! she is currently going to town on her red one and i might have to go to the next level up!! she is a chewer! |
Ok I'm glad I got the red one Bailey is a chewer to RIGHT THIS MOMENT HE IS CHEWING ON MY WHITE LAUNDRY BASKET  |
Both Jaden and Jewelina have the red kong toys and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THEM! Jaden will play with his for hours trying to get food out of it. :p |
Does anyone not use the Kong products to stuff them my trainer told me I can stuff them with treats the seal them off with peanut butter then put them in the frig to freeze it up....I currently have on in the frig now I got peanut butter treat inside with peanut butter to cap it off :) |
Bentley has the light blue baby one... but i'm thinking about going to get the red one.. he has almost torn this one to peices. I sometimes cover cherrios with peanutbutter in a bowel (kinda messy) and then put the mixture in his kong. HE LOVES IT!!!!!! and it doesn't stink no where near as bad as his bully stick lol. |

im gonna pick up a red one |
I Have Looked At These For Some Time Now And I Think I Will Get Harvey One. I Am Just Not Really Sure What You Put Inside Them? He Is Also A Little Chewer (cant Give Him A Soft Toy Or Teddy As He Rips It Apart) - He Has The Soft Latex Toys . Which He Loves, But Think Something With Food Inside Will Keep Him Occupied. |
Aww I wish my girl would chew on theres.. I got My bella the pink puppy one and my bunny the red one and they wont even try to get the stuff I put in it out. |
I'm sure that one will be fine. Harley adores his especially when it's packed with frozen peanut butter and yogurt!:D |

I have puppy pink one and Momiji only lick them, not chew them. I put either peanut butter or yogurt and freeze it and Momiji lick it until it is clean!!! Momiji is chewer but she doesn't chew kong. She prefer chew something she shouldn't be chewing.... :( |
We have the pink one the blue one and the red one....they love them...Lottie just throws hers down the stairs to get the stuff out...little stinker! |

I just bought the pink puppy one for Missy, and i haven't even put anything in it and she loves it!!! LOL my parents dog always begs for food and I don't want Missy to be that way, so i really only want to put dog food in it... any suggestions? |
I just got Ludo the small puppy one today. He lovvvvvvvvvvves it! He likes to pounce on it a lot and then chew the heck out of it. I just put the long treat that it came with in there. Any other ideas what to do? |
I've been thinking of buying one of these for Mattie but like everyone else I wasn't sure what to put in it -- especially sinces he's only 3 months old. Is he ready for Cherrois and peanut butter ???? He hasn't had anything but puppy food and some bite of apples and banana's which he loves. Especially the apples  -- whenever we are cutting one up -- he's right there wanting a piece. Only give him the white meat -- no skin. :animal36 |
What is a kong toy? It sounds great, but I've never heard of it? Is it something I can buy at my local pet store or is there a website to order from? |
You can get them at petco and petsmart. They are a rubber chew toy that are hollow on the inside that you can stuff with stuff like peanut butter or cheese or treats |

Both Cooky Boy and LaQuita were not impressed with the Kong Toy, infact they are both so fussy they put there noses up at the treats that came with it. There is a new snack they LOVE called "Canine Carry Outs" The other night we were watching TV and they were eating the snacks, and when they were done I put them on the coffee table. In the morning, I woke up to LaQuita kissing me to wake me up. She jumped out of the bed, onto the coffe table, and carried the bag of snacks in to bed and she was trying to wake me up to give her some of the snacks!!! |
I bought the blue puppy one. Mine all will lick out the peanut butter but they do NOT like the Kong filler (the one that comes out like cheese). I can put the little Mother Hubbard treats in them and they will get them out. But they don't seem to be all that excited with it. Mine don't seem to chew on any of the rubber toys we have. But give them a plush toy that squeaks and they are in heaven! They are lal still loving those Dr. Noys toys! |
awsome toy, I actually stuffed it one end with peanut butter the other ( the little little hole) with a treat, ( smells like pepporoni , its by pet botanics) and he chews and chews lol. I bought the red on, its a puppy size!:animal-pa |
My 3 mo old likes the kong as long as it's something he can get to easily. We have the red one. I hope when he is teething he will like it better. |

Try putting baby carrots in there -- Archie loves it. I also do a "combo platter" of Mother Hubbard treats broken up and carrots wedged in as tight as possible to give him a real challenge (and to keep him out of my hair when I'm working!). |
