Smart dog toys?

What other kong-type toys are there? Something for a smart and easily bored puppy? Lucy loved the kong filled with a surprise, but is now kinda over it, she's figured it out a milllion times...

I was hoping for something along the same lines to stimulateher interest.

I got Luna an Orka, it's a sturdy rubber tube with strips of sturdy cloth running through it, knotted at each end to keep it in there. The plastic part is clear blue and shes' chewed and chewed on it, and there's not even a mark on it yet.

Loki is playing with his busy buddy twist n treat right now. It's purple and looks like a flying saucer. You fill it with kibble or small treats and then screw it together. Sometimes I take half of his breakfast and take it out of his bowl and put it in there, then set it next to his half full bowl. He will take the toy over eating the food already in his bowl. He'd rather work for it than get free food!

There are lots of toys that dispense treats. I also have a big ball thing from Loopies that has like 10 small soft balls inside. Loki has to work to get the balls out. That one is fun too!

I wish there were more out there. Terriers are smart and like puzzle toys.

A good idea may be to rotate your toys. Put a most away and let your furbaby play with only a few toys for a couple days or until she gets bored, then switch them out. When my babies see their old toys, they go wild for them.

That is so cute. This is a perfect toy for Rosie. My sister's dog (Darci) would take her food in her bed and hide the food in the cracks of her donut bed. Rosie's food would be in a bowl on the opposite side of the room from Darci's bed. Rosie would go to Darci's bed, grab the food, and come eat the food next to her bowl, then go back to Darci's bed and get some more food and eat the food next to her bowl, etc. She loves the challenge of finding and digging for her food. Now we sometimes put her food in her bed so she has to dig for it. That used to be the only way that we could get her to eat. She loves it. This toy would be the answer. Also, we always hide her toys under the pillow, couch, blanket, etc. and she loves digging for it. Thanks!!! Don't tell Rosie, but this is what santa is going to bring her.

I got Baxter an I Cube at petsmart. It is a fabric cube that holds soft balls inside. They have to get them out and he has always loved his squeaker balls.

Emma LOVES her Buster Cube. It takes her quite awhile to get all the treats out, and it's indestructible! You can get them online or sometimes at Petco.

Make sure you get the SMALL one though, the big one is really too big for Yorkies.

Now...if we could only FIND the buster cube, she hid it somewhere!

Kyjen Co makes a bunch of development toys for dogs. My puppy prefers them over any other kind. I bought every one of them after a lot of research. If you go to dog.com, you will find them, but the best deal on them is at JB Wholesale.

Most of Kyjen toys are puzzle type. So, the dog has to figure it out before it can play. I bought "Intellibone," "I-Cube," "Pull-A-Part," and "Find a Squirrel."

The price range for the toys is $6-10. So, it is not bad at all. In addition, they are bright, really good quality, super durable, and with lots of different squickies inside.

My puppy loves them. However, if I could get just one, my favorite is "Hide a Squirrel."

This is good to know, we have a Jb here in NJ and it is great and besides that I was looking at this Buster for Tyler. Hoping that it will keep him busy and that he will not destroy.
Will defintely consider buying it.
