| Hi Elbow and all other Yorkie-lovers. Have been reading your mail abt toys and stuff, and had a good laugh. These Yorkies are sooo funny, it seems that all display the same playful disposition. My Oscar has 2 plastic containers full of toys, most of them are homemade, but almost all of them look VERY used and rugged. I am (was) a collector of Teddybears before Oscar joined us... I did not know that they ALL represented a challange to him. He was'nt that old when he mastered to jump up on chairs, beds, sofas, you name it, and I had to remove all my teddies. There are by now approx. 30 pcs without filling, limps missing and totally devoid of their characteristics. Some were collectables. I had to learn to get my priorities straight. Oscar in, teddies out. The "roadkills" are still around and he likes to play with them once in a while, especially when we play "pull that rug". Now, Oscar has a very peculiar way of showing what he treasures the most, by fooling around at first and then carrying the toy out into our yard where he spends at least 5-8mins to find a secure place to dig it into the dirt, or snow, or pile of leaves, whatever the season. He carfully covers the toy and makes sure that I havn't seen him doing it, because if he sees me watching him, he digs it up again and searches for an even better place to hide it at. There can pass a few hours or even days before he feels like digging it up again........... which means that he comes running with his trophy into the livingroom and placing it right onto our creme-coloured wall to wall carpet. Most of the time it's full of dirt and/or leafs. It was'nt funny at first, but as I mentioned earlier, I did eventually get my priorities straight. He's after all my sunshine and makes me smile almost all of the time. He also loves to undo wrapped parcels. Everyday at teatime I put some goodies into a TP roll and close the ends. This is a ritual he nowadays expects at noontime, if not he lets me know. His big beautiful eyes speak volumes... you have to be dumb not to get the message. It all serves a pupose, while he is busy unpacking the roll, we can have tea and cookies to ourselves, without him begging and pestering us. Now if you all believe that Oscar is spoiled, well, take a good look at your own cute litle pet, aren't thay all spoiled in a way?? WE LOVE THEM and they know it. Also they are soooo extremly smart, they learn very early on how to manipulate you. (I don't mind, to tell you the truth!) Enough for now, see you around, would be fun to get some feedback. Oscar, the king of floppy-eared Yorkies of Sweden |

| Joke time: How many pieces can you make out of one toilet paper roll? 1,098,487.... She's chewed the toilet paper roll like she does tissues! She had fun but I'm not so sure I am up to picking up all those pieces everyday, (I used a rake) Well for Chloe maybe I'll do it once a week As far as the sock thing, that is way too funny, she was trying to put her whole head into the sock to get to the treat. Somehow I thought she would hold it in her teeth and shake it like she does to her Teddy Pig. Ok watching this is so much better then a movie |
