| ![]() My Yorkie Joey loves to play like any other Yorkie. He also loves to chew. To a fault. Every toy we get him (Excluding the hard rubber things, he won't touch those. He loves soft things.), he chews to shreds in a matter of days (Some even on the same day we buy them!). It's not that he's rough with them, he just sits down and gnaws endlessly until he's worn a hole in it, then pulls out all the stuffing. He'll generally try to eat the stuffing and make himself sick. We're running out of ideas on what to give him as toys, any sugggestions? |

| ![]() How about a kong.Whatever you choose to stuff it with will encourage him to chew. Just a though.Rocco has one and he will chew for hours if I stuff it with chicken. Makes me feel guilty and I end up getting it out for him |

| ![]() i just got romeo a simply fido toy that is all organic so if he shreads or eats it he won't get sick. i'm replacing all his toys with simply fido. dog.com has alot of toys for under a buck if he's a total toy shreader. also ebay sells dog toys pretty cheap. |

| ![]() Jaxon is a big time chewer - we just keep getting him different kinds of chew treats - especially peanut butter ones. He'll chomp on them until they're worn down to nothing! The good thing is they're pretty cheap plus it keeps him busy for hours.

| ![]() I buy Reuger soft baby toys at garage sales. It doesn't matter if they ruin it when you only paid 25 cents for it. And I feel that if baby toys are made well enough for human babies, then they're good enough for a puppy. Just make sure that they have stuffing not the beany stuff.

| ![]() This sounds exactly like Loki. And he'll lick the center out of a Kong but won't chew on one, since he can't destroy it. All I can say is that he is not 1 1/2 and he has improved a lot. Stuffed toys that used to last 20 mins last a few weeks or more. I've also been giving him Bully Stix to chew on. So, hopefully it will slow down for you too.

| ![]() Reagan is kind of the same way. Not as bad anymore though so some of it may stop as he gets older. Anyway I've noticed that for some reason all of our smaller toys have lasted. We have a few of the different toys that come in McDonalds Happy meals that are still around at least 6 months later. Every now and then they have some type of stuffed toy and its a great size for us. Also we have some with squeekers in them that are about the same size from Petsmart. I'm thinking they are the Dr. Noys or something (they are the ones that come with the replacable squeekers) like that but they are the smallest sizes. I don't know if they can't get a hold of them as well to tear them up or what but she plays with them all the time and they've managed to last the longest.

| ![]() If your wee yorkie is still young he could just be teething. I found rawhide chews great for this. ![]()
