Favorite Toys? With all the Toys I buy for both my male Artie and my female Abigail, their favorite toy is a card board egg carton from a flat of eggs? Both of them go crazy for it and spend hours chewing it. In fact every morning when I get the eggs out of the fridge Artie is always waiting the next one. And if it's not completely torn apart they are always looking for it, I can't throw the used one away until I replace it with a new one. Does any one else give their babies this? There are no dyes in this? It looks safe? It's from recycled card board I think?

| Isn't it funny how they enjoy the craziest objects? Just like tiny little human kids at Christmas who enjoy the box the toy came in more so than the toy. LOL!! I have yet to give egg cartons as toys yet, never really thought much about it. I would think if your fur babies don't ingest too much of the carton paper it will be ok...just keep an eye on them. You should try capturing a picture of Abigail and Artie playing w/ it, I bet it would a great picture! (don't forget to share that picture if you get one!)

| That's interesting! I never thought of letting sully play with one of those, haaha! I'll give the next one to him and let you know what he thought of it. Sully's favorite toy, other than the rope on my drawstring pants, is a stuffed-cloud toy with a squeaker inside, attached to a little rope, from PetSmart. He also loves his PetStages toys.

Hallie loves egg cartons as well. I found this out by mistake when I dropped one on its way to the trash. You would have thought it was the end of the world when I finally threw it away. Hallie is funny though, my family sends her expensive toys from pet stores and she insists on playing with the .94 toys from Wal-Mart (the little bones that squeek) until they no longer squeek. Simon doesn't care for anything other than his soccer ball! He has developed an interesting habit too. He won't leave my apartment without it. He carries it for our entire walk and spits at people until they throw it for him. I guess it is kind of like a security blanket for him. Silly puppies!!!!

I too will have to try the cardboard egg carton once the eggs or gone. Beau's favorite toy is his plush stuffed duck. He loves to fetch his "ducky". Last night while cleaning out some drawers I came across some old socks and I took one of them, cut the toe out and put it on my foot/leg as if I was going to wear them, then I rolled it down like you would a pair of knee highs into a donut shape (with the toe cut out it makes a hole in the middle like a donut), then i rolled it across the floor, BEAU WENT CRAZY. He's been playing with that thing since last night. Amazing all the money we spend on toys and they go nuts about toys we create or come across accidently.

I took a empty soda bottle with the lid on and pull off the label. Asia went nuts. She loves that she can chase it all over the office. When she get it stuck in a tight spot she can grab the lid in her mouth and pull it back out. She growls and barks at it and everyone thinks it is the cutest sight.

It is funny the strange things they LOVE...mine loves to shred kleenex or paper towels. Zoey's other favorite is actually a cat toy: it's a little ovoid mouse that has a pull string tail. You pull the string, and the little thing shakes/vibrates. She goes crazy over the thing! She loves to fetch it, and has even taught herself to hold the mouse down with one paw and pull the string herself with her teeth, setting it to shake! She'll also grab the string and fling her head back and forth, making the mouse fling from side to side and pulling the string out and setting it a-shaking again. Funny that her favorite toy is a cat toy!

Yay! Lucy loves the cardboard egg cartons too!! When we come back with the shopping, she is just waiting for it and she runs off with it to shred it! Sometimes we put some treats inside which she really likes!!! It is relly funny how you spend loads on toys for them and they like the most simple stuff, Lucy loves birthdays and christmas- she loves running off to shred the wrapping paper and envelopes. And if you chase her, she likes that even more! (strange dog!!)

Mimi just loves anything that squeaks, she could go for hours driving me crazy with the noise. Coby for some odd reasn has to grab a toy in his mouth before going to the back yard. By the end of the week he has all his toys outside. Oh and God forbid any of the girls would want to play with his toys, that would be a real No, No,. He really is over protective of his toys. Last but not least Nina just likes her bones.

Sheila liek to beat up (and sleep on) her buddy tiger and she just loves this weird ice cream cone squeaky and its all she'll play with. Of course on walks she has a huge penchant for sticks to the point where she may wind up at the Betty Ford Yorkie stick adiction clinic.

This is a great thread. I like the idea about the cat toy. Asia about wears my arm out throwing a ball for her. Maybe something that moves on it's own will let me get some housework done.
