| ![]() I was having difficulty finding a toy box that was shallow enough and sat on the ground where my pup could get a toy from it at any time. The toy boxes at Petsmart were about 12inches deep and there is no way he could reach into that. So I went to walmart and purchased a kitchen drawer organizer. It is PERFECT! Just a small tip for those that want something similar for their little ones! |

| ![]() I don't have a puppy, nor is my lil guy a 5 lb pup. When I had to put down my beautiful lil girl at age 17 y/o I swore no more babies, loosing them is too over whelming. I donated all dog things to my local no kill shelter. 6 weeks later unplanned I adopted a 3 y/o male. He was purchased 3 years ago for a little 8 y/o girl as a companion to help the child cope with parents divorce. He had no toys, the mother wanted this puppy to depend on the child as it's only source of play. This lil boy was much loved, the little adored him, the child spent much time loving and training him. Circumstances beyond their control forced them to have to surrender him. Not knowing if he would play with toys since he was 2 1/2 when I got him, not knowing what kind toys he would like, off to Pet Supplies I go to buy toys. I came home with over a dozen different type of toys, balls of all sizes, stuffed squeaky toys, rubber toys, long, short, round toys. All these toys and no toy box ![]()

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Good tip! For my kiddos' toys I use decorative trays as they're nice and shallow and the doggies aren't afraid about grabbing a toy from them.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | ![]() I would suggest a recycling bin if you could find one small enough ! They have a cut out in them in the front for easy access, also a great idea to use as a bed for your little guy since he's so small. or maybe a short basket. Hobby Lobby has tons of different shapes and sizes to choose from.

| ![]() That's a really neat tip. I'm planning on purchasing a new container for my dogs' toys since their box is almost full now. I think I'll try your tip. I want to add adorable decorations on the sides too. |

| ![]() I am always looking for new tips for toy storage! I used to make decorative baskets, but finding good solid quality baskets became difficult. The ones I loved became discontinued. Target does have a nice basket with about 6-7 inch sides that makes a nice toy basket. If ya'll are crafty (as I know so many here are) you can turn an old dresser drawer into a really cute toy box. Drawers come in many different depths. If anyone would like instructions, I'd be happy to tell you how I did this one. (It's a little deep for a tiny Yorkie, but my girls reach into it just fine).
