I don't have a puppy, nor is my lil guy a 5 lb pup. When I had to put down my beautiful lil girl at age 17 y/o I swore no more babies, loosing them is too over whelming. I donated all dog things to my local no kill shelter. 6 weeks later unplanned I adopted a 3 y/o male. He was purchased 3 years ago for a little 8 y/o girl as a companion to help the child cope with parents divorce. He had no toys, the mother wanted this puppy to depend on the child as it's only source of play. This lil boy was much loved, the little adored him, the child spent much time loving and training him. Circumstances beyond their control forced them to have to surrender him. Not knowing if he would play with toys since he was 2 1/2 when I got him, not knowing what kind toys he would like, off to Pet Supplies I go to buy toys. I came home with over a dozen different type of toys, balls of all sizes, stuffed squeaky toys, rubber toys, long, short, round toys. All these toys and no toy box

, I search my house for something to use for "just for now" I came across a Christmas basket I received in 2012 filled with skin care products that I never got around to using. I took all the product out, it's a shallow basket about 7 inches high, appox 14 inches long, appox 7 or 8 inches wide, made out of white metal mesh, very attractive looking. I didn't know if he would even approach this basket, so I put in 1/2 the toys I had gotten. He was like a kid in a candy store, nothing shy about him, he checked out the basket, then pulled everything out, saw they made noise, and that was it. I have not replaced it, it holds a lot of toys even if it is a bit piled up, it's shallow enough he can get his head in and pick out what he wants to kill at that moment. So if you have an attractive gift basket and don't know what to do with it, it could make a very nice toy basket for your baby. For my last pup I used a little bed she had out grown.
